Entire process of ordering and receiving food in one click

We have collaborated and established a project involving over 30 employees working together to build, develop, and maintain the project to address the outstanding issues at the industrial zone, bringing convenience to both the workers and the managers.

Challenges

We have partnered with one of Vietnam's leading industrial food service companies, providing meals for workers in industrial zones nationwide. However, we encountered several significant challenges:

- A lack of control over food quantities has led to both surpluses and shortages, impacting service quality and causing resource waste;

- There is no clear mechanism for managing employee use of the cafeteria area, increasing the risk that unauthorized individuals might access the cafeteria area, posing security and food safety concerns;

-There's no system for accurately tracking the number of employees eating during different shifts, nor a way to check the number of meals produced and consumed each day, leading to fragmented and inefficient management;

- The process of menu creation lacks standardization. Management of food item lists and menus is still done using manual Excel files, which are prone to errors and lack flexibility;

- Employee food quality assessments are done on paper, resulting in time-consuming processes and an incomplete understanding of employee satisfaction;

- Employees don't have the ability to choose meals based on their personal preferences; they are provided with meals pre-selected by kitchen staff, reducing diversity and individual satisfaction.

Implementing a modern software system will help to address these issues comprehensively, delivering accuracy, efficiency, and flexibility while enhancing the experience for both employees and the service provider.

Our solution

After identifying all the needs and issues that our client faced in the industrial zone, the Peasoft team came together to propose a cost-effective solution to provide the best benefit for our client. Given the complexity of the system, we had to quickly build a dedicated team of 15 engineers with at least 3 years of experience to work on this project. This team was selected based on their technical expertise and practical experience in software development to ensure that all of the client's requirements were addressed professionally and efficiently.


We also require our software engineers to have a solid understanding of the operational processes for industrial catering services, including managing meal shifts, menu creation, and the approval process for menus from both the company and its clients. This deep understanding allows us to design a solution that is tailored to the real needs of the business.


To address the challenges faced by this food supply business, we have developed a comprehensive system in which all processes are digitized. This system offers powerful tools for managers to control daily operations, including application for employee meal ordering, which helps reduce food shortages and surpluses. With this solution, businesses can manage more efficiently while significantly lowering operating costs by ensuring accurate control over the number of meals.

Remarkable results

- The process of creating and approving menus is carried out seamlessly and systematically, allowing easy updates and adjustments as needed.

- Statistical data and reports are automated, ensuring complete and accurate records, providing a solid basis for analysis and decision-making.

- Employees can freely choose dish before meals, and can even change or cancel their orders if needed, providing a more flexible and comfortable experience.

- Meal pickup is controlled through QR codes, which is not only convenient but also helps prevent unauthorized access or fraud, enhancing the safety and efficiency of the system.
