Our client's business is a leading industrial catering company operating on a national level. Upon arrival at work locations, employees – from the corporate office to the customer's kitchen – clock in using a timekeeping system. However, the timekeeping data is not automatically compiled but instead exported to an Excel file. The accounting team must manually consolidate this data from thousands of kitchen employees nationwide to calculate their salaries. While this task is manageable for office workersdata , it demands meticulousness and precision. Calculating salaries for kitchen staff, who work in specific shifts, presents significant challenges. Moreover, employee information from various departments and kitchens is scattered across individual archived files. This complexity is further compounded when many kitchen staff members are on leave, making data synthesis and retrieval a cumbersome process.
Solution
Using oDoo's data management structure as a foundation, we created a human resources management system to handle employee information within departments. Additionally, our software engineers integrated the timekeeping system, linked it to the payroll system, and established a customizable salary structure to accommodate various salary schemes. This automation streamlines the timekeeping and salary calculation processes, reducing the workload for the accounting department and ensuring precision, objectivity, and consistency in data management.
